There are several options for travel from SJO Airport. Choose the mode of transport that best suits you. All offer picturesque views of the mountains and jungle.

Flying over the Caribbean coast via Sansa Airlines

Domestic Flight: Sansa Airlines is a domestic airport located steps from the SJO airport. Sansa flight schedules vary so book this flight first. The duration of this option is approximately 35 minutes. NOTE: You will be weighed as well as your luggage. Your amount of luggage may be limited. flysansa.com

Shuttle: Several companies have shuttles that will drive you across the country to the Caribbean coast. The duration of this shared option is approximately 5 hours. Costs vary. mecca will assist you with these arrangements.

Rental car: There are several rental companies inside and near the airport. Rental will require a valid driver’s license, passport and card with a VISA logo. We only recommend this method if driving in daylight and early morning before rush hour begins. The duration of this option is approximately 4 - 6 hours. NOTE: you will be driving through a mountainous national park with winding roads.

Private car: Treat yourself to a chauffeured ride across the country. The duration of this option is approximately 4 - 6 hours. Costs vary. mecca will assist you with these arrangements.
